Wanna play Words?
I've seen so many of the Scrabble block art out there lately, and I thought I should give it a go.
The trouble was finding an old game.
It was harder than it should have been, really.I finally found one at a Swap meet, and I paid $2.00 for it.
The guy said that he wasnt sure all the pieces were there. But to be honest, I didnt care.
I FINALLY found one!
I dug out the letters that I wanted...and arranged them.
I really loved a project that I saw on Pintrest, that had the words "Love You", But wanted to add "me" so it would be a couple thing...You + Me = Love kind of thing...So I did it :)
Then I created the matting around it with just some paper and cut out the middle to make a frame.

Now for the part that ended up being way harded than it needed to be. Gluing all the worlds together.
First, I just put a line of glue behind the tiles, but then it sat up too much off the paper.
So with tiny little glue lines (Hot glue) I glued each tile.
Looked like this when I was done:

Of course I had to use Mod Podge..where would I be without it?
Because I have a form of Adult ADD (Self-Diagnosed, naturally)
I did this while I was waiting for the Mod Podge to dry.
My son had these glitter pens, and I just happened to have this wood letter lying about...
Its ugly, but it killed time lol

After all was dry, I used this super glue, to glue the words down onto the paper, so it layed flat
And I spray painted this AWFUL frame I had...I painted it all black, and while I dont have a finished picture of the frame, I do have a before! haha
And this is the finished product before it went in the frame.

Book em, Danno!
I had a serious need for some shelving.
We had all these books, just in boxes in our back room. No where for the poor things to go.
So on a trip to Tucson, my hubby and I stopped by Target to just look around.
We weren't looking to buy anything, we just needed to kill some time. Little did we know we would find a perfect solution to our book problem!
Behold our newest furniture member to our family!
It matches our Entertainment Center and Desk...so I'm a happy girl :)

There are some DVD's too, but those wont be on there for long...it was just a space filler lol

Salsas
I cant Cook..we've already established this.
But I CAN put things into a food processor, and make delicious things.I made Salsa!
I've tried many times to make salsa, and I always failed. Miserably. I just couldn't get the combo right.
This time, I was a major WIN!
Here is the recipe I used!
28oz can crushed tomatoes
2 cloves of fresh garlic
(dont go using the canned stuff)
(dont go using the canned stuff)
1/2 of a Yellow Onion
2 Jalapenos
(I could have used 3...the ones I got weren't that hot)

1/2 tsp black pepper
1tsp salt.
hand full of fresh cilantro
hand full of fresh cilantro
put all of it in a blender or food processor. If its a little thick, add a few tablespoons of water.
Blend it up until all the chunks are out.
Voila. Salsa!
Even my husband admitted it was good...and thats sayin' something! lol

Fail.
I really shouldn't ever try and cook anything. Bake? Yes, sure..I can bake Bread. But actually COOK something? *sigh*
But I wanted Donuts, dangit! They sounded so good, and I had a major sweet tooth going on.
I had heard you could make them using canned biscuits! SCORE! Easy right?
Go to the store, pick up a can.
Go home, use a soda bottle lid and cut out the middles...

Took a big ole Bite.....
RAW.
It was freaking RAW inside! I used too big of biscuits! You should use the smaller ones, not the grande ones.
Crap. Oh well, lesson learned. Total Fail.

What I've been up to!
So, my last few Blog posts have been fillers for the most part...but it doesn't mean they aren't important! Especially the Voice Over stuff at LDP Productions !!
I have been pretty busy over the weekend, and I'll show ya what I've been doing....
My awesome husband and I have been doing some major summer cleaning around our house.
We had 2 rooms which were *gag* disgusting.
They were just stuffed full of stuff that we needed to throw away, or get rid of, and just hadn't.
But we finally bit the bullet, and got a storage unit and put some big items in there that we didnt want in the house, and about 600 totes of stuff. (Not really, but it seemed like it!)
So out of all that, my craft room emerged! I no longer have just a Corner...I have an entire ROOM!
*girl scream*
Yes, it needs new paint, and yes, the lighting is HORRIBLE...
But its mine.

They were a learning experience...not hard, but not like crazy easy either...we know what we'll do different next time.
Sorry, I didnt get step by step pics...its a rather messy process lol
